Mr Treacy and Deacon Martin Donnelly held a lovely socially distant advent assembly over Collaborate for the whole school this morning. Classes across the school joined the assembly from their classroom, along with pupils and staff who are not able to be in school today.
The theme of the assembly was the season of advent. Deacon Martin introduced the advent wreath and lit the first of its 5 candles, a symbol of 'Hope'. Our school will be have an advent assembly each Thursday morning during this advent season, one for each candle on the advent wreath to help us prepare for the coming of Jesus at Christmas.
