School Carol Service in St Michaels Church, Ennikillen.
Our junior and senior school choirs came together for a wonderful Christmas carol service in St Michaels church on Thursday 12th December. To begin we were treated to some beautiful pieces by the string band and then by the brass band who have been working all year with music teachers Simon O’Hare, Neil Guy and Amy McCutheon. The choirs, working with Jonathan Beatty and Mrs Kirke, have been learning their words and practicing over the past few weeks.
On the night there were readings by senior pupils, a re-enactment of the Nativity by P2 pupils, with senior pupils as narrators, and wonderful carol singing by both choirs led by Mrs Kirke. What a lovely festive evening to get us all in the mood for Christmas. Thank you to the pupils and staff who have worked so hard to put on such a lovely service for our school community. Thank you to Mrs Kirke for her work with the choirs throughout the year and to our music teachers Simon, Neil and Amy. We were delighted to see such a huge number of parents and family members turn out to watch the performance. Thank you for your donations, your generosity has raised almost £1,000 for our Christmas charities, Saint Vincent De Paul and The Children’s Ward in the South West Hospital.
