P7 - Movie making fun!
On Friday 3rd February our class (Mr Starrs' P7 class) went to the Enniskillen Castle for a movie animation tutorial celebrating 100 years of Roald Dahl. As soon as we arrived at the castle we went upstairs where we met two nice people, Luke and Laura, from the Nerve Centre in Derry; they were going to teach us how to make our own animation movies.
We first were shown how to use an app called iMotion which we had to use to take a lot of photos of our BFG characters. We worked in groups, we had to decide who was going to take the pictures, who would move the characters and who would tell the person moving the characters if it looked ok. We had to edit our movies using backgrounds and sound. 211 pictures was equal to about 22seconds of film! At the end we got to watch each group’s movie. They were all brilliant! It was a very enjoyable morning.
