P6 Pupils cycle to school (SUSTRANS and FODC cycle event
SUSTRANS and Fermanagh and Omagh District Council (FODC) organised a cycle to school event for local primary schools as part of National Bike Week.
Some of our P6 pupils met at the Forum at 8:30am for breakfast and then cycled to school accompanied by FODC representatives, some of our local police officers, Mrs Hyde and Mr Starrs.
Later that morning Ann-Marie Cox from SUSTRANS visited our school. Ann-Marie had organised a 'Message in a Bottle' activity where she had carried messages about Active Travel, in a bottle from school to school. Erne Integrated Primary sent us a message and we sent a message to Jones Memorial Primary School.
Message in a bottle poems
Cycling is good fun and great exercise
You always need to wear a helmet
Check that your bike is in good condition
Leave behind the training wheels whenever you think you`re ready
Everybody deserves to enjoy riding their bike!!!!

Super fun challenges
Unforgetable activites
So many people enjoy it
Time to stop laying round the house
Race outside and cycle to
A shop for groceries
Now take a cycle to your Nanny’s house
So you can say I love to cycle !!!

Cycle to school once a week.
You can make some new friends too.
