Making 3D shapes.
Today we made 3d shapes out of marshmallows and cocktail sticks. It was fun. We were paired with partners. My partner was Andrea. First we took some marshmallows and cocktail sticks. The first shape we made was a cube. It needed a little help to stand up. Next we made a square based pyramid. It stood up perfectly. After that we made a triangular based pyramid. It stood perfectly just like the square based pyramid and not like the cube. When we were done it was very easy to count the corners, edges and faces on the 3d shapes. By Conor Rice, P4
I really enjoyed working with Grace to make a cube from straws and marshmallows. We used the straws for the edges and we knew how many corners are on a cube so we knew that we needed 8 marshmallows, yum yum! It was great fun. By Dylan Meehan, P4
