P4 learn about WWII at the Enniskillen Museum
6th Nov 2019
The P4 classes have been learning all about World War II in class over the past weeks. Today they went to the museum to learn some more about this really interesting topic.
First John let the boys and girls try on uniforms and gear that soldiers would have worn. He showed them some weapons as well.
Julian took the children into an Anderson bomb shelter where they listened to the radio announcement marking the beginning of the war, the sound of air raid sirens and the sounds of bombs dropping.
The children then got the chance to make their own identity cards with Catherine and visit the old shop. It was such an interesting day and the boys and girls learned a lot!
