P4 boys and girls dressed up in their communion outfits on Thursday morning and went to mass at St Michaels. Parents/Carers were invited to join them at Mass and then to a Communion party at the school Hall on our KS1, Mill street, site.
Staff prepared the hall with childrens art work, dressed tables for food and drinks and the canteen staff made some lovely scones and shortbread for the party. There was tea and coffee for parents along with scones with jam and cream, pastries and shortbread. The children enjoyed juice, crisps and an ice cream from the ice-cream van. The hall was buzzing for an hour as parents and children enjoyed some social time together.
Thank you to everyone who helped organise the party, to those who prepared the hall, baked and to everyone who helped tidy up afterwards. The party was a great success.
