Holy Trinity dressed in green to celebrates St Patrick's Day.
For our St Patrick's Day celebrations Holy Trinity pupils and staff dressed in green and brought in £1 for our Trócaire collection. The school was a sea of green for a day.
To celebrate our Patron Saint's day we held a Ceili on each site. There was music by our KS2 Trad band, with help from some of our very talented teachers and Mr Tracey. There was dancing, music and Irish song.
On KS1, the P1, P2 and P4 children sang Irish songs, taught by Mrs. Kelly. Our P3 classes danced 'The Seige of Ennis', 'The 'Walls of Limerick' and 'The Waves of Tory'. P4 classes performed 'Shoe the Donkey', led by Mrs Kelly and Mrs Gormley. Some of our braver staff danced 'The Walls of Limerick', to the delight of the pupils.
At KS2 our Senior Choir sang for everyone. Mrs Kelly's class danced for P5,P6 and P7 classes. The KS2 Trad band along with some of our teachers accompanied the dancing. There was also Irish dancing by some of our P5, P6 and P7 pupils.
Holy Trinity brought their celebrations to the Millcroft care home on Monday. Our KS2 Trad group played some music and a few of the KS2 dancers danced for the delighted residents.
On Friday, they are going to dance and play a few tunes for the nursery and pre-school children.
