Holy Trinity Mass celebrating the start of a new school year
Our school mass, to celebrate the start of the school year, was held in St Michael’s Church today. The mass was celebrated by Bishop Duffy, Reverend Martin Donnelly (Deacon) and Monsignor Peter Reilly. This was a lovely ceremony enjoyed by the whole school staff and pupils together. The choir, led by Mrs Kirke, sang some beautiful hymns with children and staff across the school joining in. Children from KS2 did readings and sang responses while children from KS1 brought up gifts. At the end of the ceremony one child from each class received a blessed candle to take back to school for their classroom.
It was great to see so many from our school community join the school children and staff for this very special mass. We hope you enjoyed it.
