On Friday the 3rd February Holy Trinity primary schools indoor soccer team took part in the Fermanagh 5-a-side soccer tournament at the Lakeland Forum.
'We went straight into the main hall when we arrived and had a small snack. After that our first game came up and Mr McElroy picked the starting team.
Our starting team was Aabin, Taylor, Shay, Patrick and James Tierney and our subs were Luke, Ryan, James Murphy and Oran. We got off to a good start in the first game which we won. The three points really boosted our confidence. We beat Maguiresbridge, The Integrated Primary, Ballinamallard, Kesh and Lisbellaw. Then we played the Model PS and drew 2-2 in a very tight match. We eventually got to our final game against Jones Memorial which we won 4-2.
We ended up winning the league by four points and lifting the trophy. Patrick got player of the tournament and Aabin was the captain. We all felt very proud of ourselves. We have qualified for the Northern Ireland 5-a-side finals for primary schools. 'By Patrick and Aabin
