On Friday, 15th January, 4 characters from the pantomime “Dick Whittington” came in to school to talk to P.6. In class this month we are learning about play scripts. We asked the characters lots of questions about plays which has really helped us understand them more. The cast were really funny and even came to visit us in costume.
I asked them “How long do you have to learn your words?” They answered “We were given our lines in October and learned them from there on!”
Leah asked “Who’s the funniest character?” Mark (Sarah the cook) answered “I have to say myself” and everyone agreed.
Ita, our dinner lady’s daughter, was starring as “Tommy the cat”.
Unagh Rudden, from Mrs Cathcart’s class, is the niece of Mark Allen (Sarah the cook)!
Lucy- Jo Maguire, Cora Cassidy and Joe Palmer from Mrs Galligans class starred in the chorus and lots more. They hope to be in it next year as well.
It was a great way to spend our Friday afternoon with these amazing characters.
