The Irish Minor Schools Championships 2025 took place on Sunday 30th March at the National Aquatic Centre, Dublin. 7 Holy Trinity PS swimmers made the journey, having qualified earlier this month at the regional schools gala in Lisburn and were high with excitement as they headed off to Dublin to do their school proud on the National stage.

The Holy Trinity Medley Relay team of Mollie Kate, Ella Rose, Emily and Elin were delighted to land on the podium in the under 10 competition, securing bronze medals after shaving a whopping 10 seconds off their Ulster Championship PB. The HT girls overtook teams from Galway, Bangor, Cork and Belfast to name but a few in their race to the wall.

Holy Trinity continued to shine with another great performance from Ella Rose, Emily, Elin and Amy in the Freestyle Relay competition.

A busy morning in the pool for Mollie Kate, having the medley relay final and 4 individual races all in the second half of the session. Making both individual finals after strong swimming in the heats Mollie Kate was delighted to come in 3rd fastest in the 50m Backcrawl. With not much time to recover she had another brilliant swim 5 minutes later in her 50m Butterfly final finishing 9th overall out of 43 competitors.

Michael claimed a new PB in the 100m Individual Medley and swam to his PB in the 50m Butterfly race.

Emily smashed her PB in the 50m Backcrawl by a massive 7 seconds. She finished 12th place overall in a field of 45 swimmers, narrowly missing out on a top 10 finish which would have secured her a place in the final.

Joseph swam a new PB in his 50m freestyle and qualified for the final in the 50m Breaststroke, placing 9th overall out of the 27 competitors.

Elin secured a new PB in 50m Freestyle and maintained her entry time in the 50m Backstroke.
