Holy Trinity 1st Rugby team

9th May 2019

The Holy Trinity 1st Rugby team took part in a Rugby festival in Omagh on the 1stMay. The children competed against lots of other schools. It was a great day of Rugby with a lot of tackling and scoring. The children really enjoyed themselves. The team were then invited to attend another Rugby festival at the Kingspan stadium, Belfast, on Wednesday the 8th. Here is what two of the boys had to say about the trip…

‘Yesterday we travelled to a Rugby festival in the Kingspan Stadium in Belfast. This is where Ulster play!! We were very excited. We travelled by bus, and since there were only nine of us, we shared the bus with Jones Memorial. There were some very good teams taking part in the festival, some train three times a week! We played three matches, and won one of them. We had a great day and at the end we got a goodie bag with a water bottle, a T-shirt and a mini rugby ball!

Thank you to Mr Starrs for bringing us to the tournament. It was very enjoyable and I hope we participate in more festivals like this!’ Paddy & Thomas
