GAA Art Competition

17th May 2017

On Monday the 8th of May we were told about a GAA art competition, we were asked to design a poster for the GAA Feile. I thought it would be fun so I got to work straight away. The poster had to be in by Tuesday the 9th so we had two days to finish it. As I was handing the picture in on Tuesday I did not think I was going to win when I saw all the other great posters. The next day everyone lined up in the playground to greet Aoghan O’Farrell, the GAA President, Mr Greg Kelly and James Duffy who were there to present the prizes. 4th place prize was a gum shield , 3rd place was a pair of Fermanagh socks , 2nd place was an O’Neills water bottle and 1st place was a Fermanagh jersey signed by all the Fermanagh players.

After they had called out fourth, third and second place I was almost positive that I was not going to win but then they called out my name and I was shocked. I slowly walked up to where they were standing and they gave me the jersey and took some pictures. Mr Treacy got the Fermanagh team to all sign it for me.
